Final vs. Finals!!

VS.

Today is my final for my bloggong class, so I thought it would only be fitting that I discussed the NBA Finals! So of coarse mt all time favorite team is the Miami Heat and we just happened to make it this year. And it's kind of ironic that our second only Finals appearance is against who we faced and defeated last time in 2006. For me I am rooting for the Heat all the way! I mean I only need to say big words to make my point, WADE, BOSH, and JAMES!! Point made. We have the more talent, athleticism, and energy. Now I won'y bash the Mavricks like some people would because I keep it professional. They do have a great team and an explosive bench. But the Heat honestly want more than they do. Dirk got hurt in game 1. He will have a battle with that splint on his finger and Kidd and Terry didn't get going behind the perimeter(threepoint line). They need to step it up if they want that shot at the title, because right now the Heat proved that they'd do anything to win this series. They have one more game in Miami and then there are three straight games in Dallas. BUT, the last 2 games are in Miami which forces them to win at least one game on the road. And honestly I don't that can be done. Now Miami has won a lot of games on the road and even won the confrence Finals on the road. So the professional side and the fan side of me are both predicting the Heat to win the series and become this years Champions. And if you don't want to take my word for it, just go here, http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2011/matchup/_/teams/mavericks-heat, and they will tell you that the Miami Heat are strongly favored to win. Take a look at this and it should influence your opinion even more.

So in this series the winner IS...the Miame HEEEAATTT!!!

Toronto Raptors

Today's team is the Toronto Raptors. They had a record of 22-60 and finished second to last in the Eastern Confrence. They recently last their star forward Chris Bosh who went to the Miami Heat (aka my team!). They completely lost all their confidence once they realized they lost Chris and didn't have any superstar on the team to take over. They had trouble just getting to the rim let alone finishing game or even keeping up in games. All 22 games they won were against sub .500 teams. They had nothing going in the whole season. It was just a waste of a season. They need to rebuild and rebuild fast. If not they are going to be drastically behind. So work some magic Toronto. If not you'll be in the dumps for a long time.

Los Angeles Clippers

Today we have the Los Angeles Clippers. As we all know the Clippers are not an elite team at all. The have one player with tremendous talent, and that person is Blake Griffin. Now the Clippers finished with a 32-50 record. Now that is better than 7 teams in the NBA, but it's just a poor effort on their part. Blake Griffin is definitely doing his part in the playing category, but no one else is stepping up to the plate. Middle way through the season they acquired Mo Williams. He was a good addition to the team because the playing style is the same. But he is aging and they know Mo won't be there for a lot of years, just about 3 years 4 at the most. But they need to have a good draft and even after that they need to add some more guards and get rid of a few centers. The are over stacked in that department and some are old. Then they need to practice hard and do good in the pre season that way they all can create chemistry with each others playing styles. I feel bad for Blake Griffin because he deserves to be on a team you actually tries to win. So don't look for the Clippers to make a drastic improvement in one off season. It will probably take 2 or 3 years. So good luck and do good Clippers.

Phoenix Suns

Today I'll be talking a little bit about the Phoenix Suns. They were not at all impressive this year. They finished off the season with a 40-42 record and not making the playoffs this year. One reason is because Steve Nash is getting a little old, but he is still the only one giving his all every night. Vince Carter was contributing until he got hurt, then they have some help from Channing Frye. But he is still new to the league and hasn't developed into a true basketball athlete yet. Also, they have Grant Hill, but he is older than Steve Nash! So he isn't going to be helping much or at all. But the do have Robin Lopez who is still working hard on getting better and he is rising fast. And at the end of the season the got Mickael Pietrus, from the Orlando Magic. He is a terrific three point shooter. If they would have received him earlier in the year they would of had a chance at making the playoffs. They need to re load on young talent on the off season. They need a young shooting guard and a young strong forward. Because once Vince Carter and Grant Hill either retire or get hurt they won't have a good one coming behind them taking their spot. Steve Nash is always ready and always in shape, so no worries on him. But everyone else needs to rest for a while then they need to practice and practice hard. Because if they want to make it to the playoffs or anywhere next season they need to work harder. if they can do all that they ave a good shot at finishing at highest 5th in the Western Conference. Good luck Suns. Your going to need it. Now please enjoy the highlights of Steve Nash's greatest moments so far.

Philadelphia 76ers

Today on my blog I'll be over viewing the Philadelphia 76ers. They finished the season 41-41 and 7th in the Eastern Conference. They started off pretty rocky and then kicked in to gear. There for a while they were so hot that no one could beat them. But then down the road they clinched a playoff spot, but unfortunately for them it was against the Miami Heat. And the Heat completely tore them a knew one. It wasn't a competition at all. But as long as they keep it up they will improve. One of the reasons they couldn't keep up with the Heat was because they are such a young team. They have no playoff experience and no one has been in a pressure situation of that nature. And 3 of their starting 5 are rookies. Just take your time Phillie and your time will be coming around the coner sooner than you think. Next year they"ll be in the top 5 of the Eastern Conference. Keep pushing hard Phillie.

Memphis Grizzlies

Today we have the outstanding Memphis Grizzlies. They became an overnight star of a team. Everybody loved them and wanted them to win. They finished the season with a record of 46-36. That may not sound like a big accomplishment, but they happened to beat the Spurs in the first round. Which they were a number 1 seed. Then they went all the way to game 7 in the second round against the Thunder. That was very impressive and remarkable. They had a star emerge in the postseason, Zach Randolph. He was just kind of known during the season, but once he had one good night against San Antonio he showed his true talent. They had a real good chance to go to the Western Conference Finals. And the good thing is, they don't have to do a thing to get ready for next season. They have all the components to be successful and someone to work around of. All that needs to happen is practice hard and stay healthy and injury free and they will be true big time contenders in the Western Conference. I would go as far as predicting them to be as high as the number 1 seed and nothing lower than the number 4 seed. They have everything in motion and in the right direction. Good job Memphis!

Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards are horific team. They finished the season 23-59. That is just terrible. They did finish better than two other teams though. They aquired John Wall from the Kentucky Wildcats. He definitely made an impact on the team, but they couldn't get anything going productive wise. They didn't have the chemistry and expirience like other vetern teams. And it shows. John Wall did what he was brought here to do, but the rest of he team didn't get the memo. So take a look at this video and see exactly what im talking about. All what i have to say is in the proof.
